August 5, 2010

The last few days has produced some large Salmon to 21 pounds a 14.7 pound Steelhead and one of our captains came in with a 20 pound Lake Trout. Fish are coming from the 9’s -19’s from 86-245 FOW and 60-80 feet down deems to be the best early with fish going deeper as the sun comes up. Large black attractors with Aqua gold and or River side flies along with light color plugs seems to be working early with the larger white attractors and the same flies being the ticket later. The attached catch was from 4 couples fishing with two Manistee Charter Boat captains. The couples split up so women were on one boat and men on the other. Rumor has it that the women came in with more fish. It is an unusual year where there are still good August and September dates available. Call a captain now and put your friends and family into our next picture.
