It is tournament week here in Manistee. The weather this morning kept a lot of boats in for a late start to the "Best of the Best. Many boats struggled today coming in with 1-4 fish. Fish were caught both on the shelf and west of the 29 line but you had to work for them especially with the late start. The break on the shelf is down 30 to 40 feet. Spoons on leadcore are probably the best bet in these conditions. The tournament continues through the weekend with the "Best of the Best" ending tomorrow; then the Ladies Splash on Friday; and finally the Pro/Am on Saturday and Sunday. While fishing was slow today, look for it to improve as we move toward the weekend.
