Manistee River fishing in the first half of March has been spotty, a good day followed by a slow one. Steelhead move into the river slowly all winter but the increase of fishing pressure in March can slow the catching down. Now here is the good news the water has been running high for a couple of days with the spring run off, this is acting like a fish magnet pulling steelhead out of the lake and the river fishing will be very good soon as this water stabilizes. Please call one of our River Guides if you would like information on booking a river trip.
