We set lines at about 6:30 in the 14's and trolled South. We couldn't keep the riggers in the water hitting two quads and a triple right off the bat. We fished 100 - 120 FOW and the fish were stacked within 20 foot of the bottom. Big and small white fish catchers with aquagold flies on the riggers were best. Also took fish on the Moonshine Founder Pounder and Green Glow J-Plugs. After the morning bite slowed we trolled deeper and took fish on 5 and 10 colors of lead and high divers set back 180 and 220. When the dust finally settled we found ourselves with 5 limits of Kings plus a Coho and Steelhead. Many Captains still have a few openings for this season so it is not too late to call. Our river guides will soon be hitting the Big Manistee. This is an excellent way to spend a beautiful fall day outdoors.
