Light winds this morning and the thermo cline around 35 feet in Manistee and south and 45-50 feet out of Onekama. Manistee fishing slowed a little but still very good and Onekama's fishing picked up from yesterday. Reports from Onekama were that spoons and the Green Hornet Magnum at 50 feet were hot. I fished the 18 - 35 feet at first light just south of Manistee and picked up 4 Salmon before going out to the shelf around 7am. There were lots of fish in the shallow water but few takers. We found the fish outside in 50-60 feet of water in the 13's with some captains doing well in the 95-125 water. J plugs, Spoons and small white fish catchers all seemed to work. Sister sledge in the standard size went 4 times for us. Create great memories on Lake Michigan. Call the Visitors center at 877 6264783 and have them find you a MAC Captain for a wonderful charter. |

Light winds this morning and the thermo cline still around 35 feet. We hit fish from 25' to 45 feet down. I fished from the 14s to the 11s. Fishing was tougher today we went 10 for 17 using a large Fish catcher down 45 feet as an attractor and it did catch 2 fish using Aqua gold flies and a special white fly a friend made for me that we donated to the fish early. We caught a few on magnum Stinger spoons off 3 color lead in Wonder bread and Blue Dolphin colors. The fishing north slowed down considerable with 5 fish the average. The water temperature was in the low 60's near shore. That would be a great place to try. Create great memories on Lake Michigan. North winds brought the thermo cline up to around 35 feet. We hit fish from 25' to 50 feet down. I fished from the 14s to the 9s and hit fish all the way with 4 on at one time. .J plugs and Canadian plugs are starting to work along with magnum spoons and Fish catchers. It's fun when the fishing is this good. Create great memories on Lake Michigan. Call the Visitors center at 877 626 4783 and have them find you a MAC Captain. |

The fishing gets better and better. We fished the 12s down to the north nets which are at the 7.5 line. We went 18 for 25 in 41\2 hours. Fish were at all depths. We caught them on Downriggers and large Black Fish catchers with Aqua Gold Glow Flies at 65 feet early and at 65- 90 feet with large white Fish catchers and Aqua Gold flies after 9:00am. 12 color lead with a Blue Dolphin has been good after the sun rises for three days. This is the year to book a charter. Call the Visitors center at 877 6264783 and have them find you a MAC Captain. |

The fish seemed to be every where from 70-225 feet north to the 18's and south to the 7's. Fish from 55 - 70 feet down early and down to 100 by mid morning. Large attractors and Aqua gold flies early with Spoons (NBK's, Blue Dolphin & Sister Sledge) along with 10 color, and meat on Dipseys from 80 -160 back on a 1 1\2 setting all seeming to work later. We ended up with 10 fish by 9am. This has been one of the best season in years. Don't miss it. It's not to late. Book a trip to Manistee. |

I fished from the 12s to the 8s today. Most of the captains were in early but not this one. We ended up with 8 four year old Salmon and lost an equal amount. The fish came on large white Fish catcher, A Large Black one, a couple on J plugs and a couple a meat rig. The fish seemed to be from 40- 50 early and all the way down to 100-125 by mid morning |

Great day on the water. Fishing was good to the north, 15-18 line, with the fish coming from the 55, and 65 and 80 foot downriggers from 85 - 115 of water on Stinger magnum NBK & Blue Dolphins and the large white Fish catcher and Aqua gold flies along with a green meat rig. I tried some plugs but no takers today. We headed back with our limit at 9:00am. The 12-9 line had great fishing with captains limiting out early on, you guessed it, Large white hooch and Aqua gold glow flies. |
