Fishing for Saturday June 20th in Manistee was a little slower due to the big storm that rolled thru the Friday night. This was the general consensus of the pros on the lake. This change in the bite found active fish 35 to 70 feet down over a total depth of 80 to 210 feet. These active fish were hitting spoons and flashers. The offshore fishing was steady with spoons, one pro said it was a steady peck of a mixed bag catch. These offshore fish were on the 30 to 32 west line and were active in the top 70 feet of water over 450 to 600 feet total depth. Tight lines and Good Luck The Capt. |

Fishing remains very good from the port of Manistee. We have been receiving excellent reports from Manistee and south. Fish on the shelf are hitting both spoons and flashers and are coming 20 - 80 feet down. Some of the best action has been in and around the harbor. We are catching Kings in the 10 - 15 pound range with an occasional bigger fish. Summer is just around the corner. Give us a call and schedule your fishing trip today |

WOW sums up today's report. The fishing out of Manistee has been incredible. Not only are we taking great numbers of fish, but they are big! This is shaping up to be an excellent season. We are catching fish right now that are bigger than the majority of last Falls run. These fish will continue to pack on weight all summer so we are expecting some real whoppers this year. But don't wait; get out on the lake now. Our boats are returning with 10 - 20 fish per trip. The best action has been straight out of Manistee and South. Several of the boats fishing the tournament this weekend have moved their boats to Manistee to take advantage of our incredible action. Don't miss the boat on this exciting Spring fishery. Call today. |

The weather has been great and the fish have been biting. The boats trolling the beach have been taking good catches of lake trout, browns and an occasional King. A few Kings in the high teens have been taken along the beach and the reports from the South are of big Kings too! We have also seen a few big Browns in the high teens and even into the 20's. Give us a call and lets get out on the lake! |

We woke up to snow this morning but the weather is going to improve as we move toward the weeekend. Fishing on the river has been tough the past few days. The good news is that the perch have been biting off 5th Ave pier and in Manistee and Portage lakes. Several people reported limit catches over the weekend. The big lake season is just around the corner. Call one of our quailifed captains and reserve your date. |

Spring is here, let’s go fishing! Steelhead fishing has been excellent in the Big Manistee River and looks to remain that way for the next couple of weeks. Both spawn and plugs are producing great catches of fresh run steelhead and even an occasional brown trout. Speaking of Brown Trout, the Manistee shoreline is beginning to produce a few browns. Brown action should continue to improve as the lake water warms. Call one of our qualified Captains today to book your river or Lake Michigan adventure. |

It has been a long cold winter but that all changed this past weekend. It is 56 today and the snow is disappearing fast. The lower stretch of the river is still ice covered but it isn't going to last long. The warm temps and heavy runoff are going to start drawing good numbers of steelhead into the river. The weather has prevented much fishing on the river so the fish that have been trickling up this winter haven't been pestered. We have some excellent fishing ahead of us. |
